Patti Anderson Wins GOP Endorsement for House District 33A
DELLWOOD, MN – Businesswomen Patti Anderson, who previously served as a City Councilmember, Mayor, State Auditor and MN Commissioner of Employee Relations has earned the Republican endorsement for District 33A in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Anderson earned almost 70% of the vote against two other candidates at the endorsing convention which took place March 19th in Stillwater.
“I am honored to have the Republican endorsement in my campaign for the Minnesota House of Representatives,” said Anderson. “I look forward to fighting for our district priorities, including ensuring our communities are safe, supporting our local law enforcement officers, returning parental control to education, and reining in out-of-control spending in order to support family budgets. I appreciate the support of local Republicans, and am excited to bring our message to the rest of the community.”
The newly formed district includes most of Forest Lake, where Anderson grew up, her current hometown of Dellwood, the cities of Hugo, Mahtomedi, Willernie and a portion of Grant. Retiring Representative Bob Dettmer represented the Forest Lake portion of the district. “I have known Representative Dettmer since he was a teacher at Forest Lake High School. He was my brothers wrestling coach and has been a pillar of the Forest Lake community. He will be sorely missed and I will strive to serve the district as well as he has,” said Anderson.
